well i am just putting in my input… from what i can tell that bryant999z jsut doesnt know how to use a g1 properly.

  11. android

    Yeah it helped, thanks :D
I have no problem with battery since i have a Blackberry Pearl which doesn’t last me a day on standby. Lol

well infact there ok but the battery isnt amazing and you get bored of them real quick the internet is cool and so are the apps but one thing that relli gets me is that alot of the time it can freeze and you always have to force close wat ever you were doin, but i gues overall its personal choice if you want one go for it there cool phones but id think about it first good luck hope this helps

  13. android

Really? Why? Im thinking of getting one, and i dont know all the things about it.

i wouldnt say its the best smartphone out there, but tis up there . its about preference. and for me in my opinion… the best android headset coming out is the motorola sholes aka tao. and then january 2010 the sony ericsson xperia x3

i think it has a 4 in screen with a 1 ghz processor. 8mp camera

  15. android

    ah… wasn’t aware of that

i do agree that the hero is a better phone overall than the dream, hardware wise… but i don’t think the software is at a level where i can say it’s the best smartphone available, you know?

theres an option to disable sense ui and run it as a regular android phone.

plus the hero rom has been optimized more to reduce lag.
there is a big difference in performance tho.

  17. android

yeah it does have the 1.5x ram… but sense ui has such a huge toll on its ram that it makes it lag even more than the dream ever could. so for the end-user i don’t think it makes that much of a difference… plus the QWERTY is important as hell

  18. brianv3ntura says:

the big difference that really counts between the hero and g1/dream is RAM and ROM size.

    hero
    rom: 215mb
    ram:288mb

    g1/dream
    rom:256mb
    ram:192mb

the increased ram maakes a big difference on performance

  19. android

i dunno about that. while it’s true that the hero is prettier, it doesn’t have qwerty, it has the same processor as the magic… it’s basically the magic with a facelift and a 5mp camera. and the magic is only a thinner, qwerty-less dream…

i have a white g1 and its a load of shit

  21. brianv3ntura says:

i actually disagree. winmo devives are true smartphones. windows mobile is a lot powerful but mroe business centric.

and g1 is just outdated now, the hero is an even better android device. so i disagree when u say the g1 is the only tru smartphone

you can do way more with a g1 than an IPhone, G1 is the only true smart phone out right now, truly upgradable, I don’t have a phone though because I hate being reached
